We won't see no precious fire,
Our home is now a cold white flame
For the heavy stone of our desire
Has crushed our heart, with eyes of shame.

Our "grand hope" will not awaken,
Our children are all bones and dust,
For white-hot hatred had us shaken,
We had forgotten, sin of "must".

We dared say that they were nothing,
We had forgotten gentle touch,
We made a crown of steel and coal,
With dirty fingers, burnt our soul!
First version used You instead of We.

This is a quick sketch (~10 min.) about racism/our disregard for nature - however You choose to read it.
It's really about rampantly replacing kindness and compassion with whatever shit we like and pick up during the course of our lives.

Your mind isn't a loo.

And "human nature is kind" doesn't equal "self-censorship". Our minds are full of shit and we know it, so why not just admit it (sometimes at least)? Defending shit as choice (not that its not) is an absolutely beside-the-point argument. It's still shit. And yes, free will and choice is important and is undeniable. Which doesn't clean up the mess in our heads.

And no, I haven't drunk or smoked anything. If I wanted a really clear message, I would have written a 2-page artist's comment and a 13-chapter saga of poetry and prose to begin with :).

Uhm... you see, that's why I could never do poetry (don't comment). The poem in itself is quite brilliant and would have had a greater impact if I hadn't read the great-load of 'shit' in your comment. It is the only thing that spoils it.
